Peitor Angell

Peitor Angell moved to New York City in the summer of 1976, right as Disco was beginning to take the world by storm.  While he was going out Disco dancing most nights with his friends, during the day he wrote the book, music and lyrics of his first musical, RENDEZVOUS OF 1922, which ran off-off Broadway for 2 years at the 13th Street Theater in Manhattan.  Following that, he began working in pop music and his first commission was to write, record and produce a Disco song which legendary DJ remixer, Roy Thode mixed and debuted at The Saint.  The next year he was signed to two rival top recording studios in New York, a publishing contract at Media Sound and a production contract at The Power Station.  There he wrote and produced a number of records for The Power Station’s in-house label, Team Records – a Disco Imprint label.

Breaking free of the binding contracts a year later, he moved on to work freelance for a variety of artists, and wrote the #7 Billboard smash for Nocera, “Let’s Go” as well as The Idolls underground sleeper, “Give A Dog A Bone” on the Atlantic Imprint.

Relocating to Los Angeles, he began revitalizing the careers of a number of legends from the 60’s and 70’s getting them back to the top of the Billboard Charts – from Charo and Thelma Houston to Cissy Houston, The Sweet Inspirations and Pat Hodges.  He also returned to the Musical Theatre arena, co writing and arranging the music for Thelma Houston’s Motown show, and  composing the new original music for the recently hugely successful, 4 year National Touring show, I LOVE LUCY LIVE ON STAGE!
